DISCRIMINATION

We’re all the same--biologically, at least. So what makes us “different”? The only difference between you and someone else is the physical: how we look. At the end of the day we all feel the same feelings: happiness, sadness, love. So why do we discriminate against each other? Why won’t it stop? There are many recent events happening that revolve around hate. In reaction to the ISIS terrorist attacks happening in the world, people are blaming all Muslims. The United States is turning its cheek to the refugees who need help more than ever. Black lives are being threatened more now than during the 1960’s. Where is this coming from? I could be preaching about peace because I grew up knowing that everyone, no matter their skin tone or physical features or gender, is equal. You could think I’m wrong and that discrimination needs to happen, but first think about what is going on. Everyone is capable of having the same emotions. We all feel.
